Director, Software Engineering (2010/05 – Present) - Mindspark Interactive Networks (an IAC InterActive Corp company)
Technical director, lead team responsible for the development of social expression products at Mindspark, including long known websites like MyFunCards, Webfetti, SmileyCentral and CursorMania, and a series of up-and-coming products including websites (HolidayLaughs), Facebook applications (The Flower Shop, HeartYou and Daily Bible Quotes) and iPhone applications (SmileyCentral and TextPOP).
Enterprise Architect, Lead Integration Architect and Infrastructure Manager (2006/09 – 2010/04) - Stefanini Intl. Corp. (consulting for Bunge Global Agribusiness)
Responsibilities included: SOA design and implementation; Integration; Outsource and offshore development coordination; Infrastructure management; Applications performance and availability management and Development process optimization.
- Produced the concept of a dashboard for ICC (Integration Center of Competency) with the intent to provide up-to-date information and autonomy to application teams in respect to work in progress, bug/issue tracking, data translations, scheduled jobs, application activity, alerts and exception handling.
- Reorganized PTM (Performance Testing and Monitoring) group’s operations and streamlined the group’s offerings, which resulted in higher quality deliverables, increased demand for services and greater levels of satisfaction.
- As a liaison between application development teams and data center operations, coordinated several efforts including major server software upgrades, hardware upgrades, virtualization and physical relocation of an entire 50+ servers farm.
- Due to unavailability of a market offering, designed and implemented a custom TIBCO adapter for LIM’s proprietary time series database which proved strategically important in reducing time and effort required for the implementation of several integrations involving that platform.
- Revamped Bunge’s BusinessWorks reusable library with consequent reduction of design and implementation times to 50% and led efforts to promote Bunge’s ESB as the de facto platform for integration of global applications such as SAP (FI, TSW & GTM), SAS Risk Engine and LIM (Logical Information Machines).
- Created the Live! initiative to promote interaction among architects and encourage better application design and practices that promote enhanced availability of servers and applications.
- To meet challenging quality and performance requirements in a time constrained project, for mark-to-market analysis, devised a strategy that allowed the estimated implementation time to be cut to half at the same time it ensured 10 times better performance on the final product in comparison with its previous version.

Software Architect (2004/08 – 2006/09) - Stefanini IT Solutions
Responsibilities included: Java EE applications design and implementation; Requirements gathering; Project management; Development process re-engineering; Technology advice (decision maker) and Technical pre-sales.
- Founded Stefanini’s SOA and BPM laboratory and training center with the objective of educating consultants when these technologies had just hit the Brazilian market. Belo Horizonte was elected the software factory with the most capable technical staff among all Stefanini software factories in the following year.
- Gave lectures to CIOs about SOA in Chile and Peru and supported commercial proposals efforts for international clients (i.e., Cavali/Peru – Oracle SOA suite, ManPower/USA – WebSphere AS/Portal).
- Succeeded using Java 1.5 and Java EE 5 (JSF, JPA) technologies in their early stage along with sophisticated Java EE security (JAAS, JACC) to meet project requirements while working on CNH’s (Case New Holland) Master Resource Planning project.
- Updated Stefanini’s development process, recognized CMMI level 5, inspired by RUP and Extreme Programming processes, to make it incremental, iterative, use case driven and architecture centric, in a way that was at first adopted in Belo Horizonte and then copied to other software factories, including São Paulo, Jaguariúna and São José do Rio Preto.
- Assured quality, performance and accomplishment of schedule at Telemar’s Co-billing project, and guaranteed profit in subsequent improvements of this system, with the use of new practices of analysis, design and implementation, new tools and a better understanding of the product.

Java Developer and System Analyst (2002/05 – 2004/08) - Companhia Telefônica do Brasil Central - CTBC
Responsibilities included: Java EE applications design and implementation; Requirements gathering; Development process re-engineering and Technology advice.
- Conceptualized and implemented CTBC’s content management system (platform and API) which has been utilized on the company’s Internet portal and on several other Intranet sites.
- Wrote CTBC’s development process based on RUP.
- Defined products, tools, frameworks and architecture to be utilized for new developments in preparation for the J2EE adoption at CTBC, having, in this process, evaluated technologies from different vendors, among IBM, Borland and JBoss.

Web Developer (2001/10 – 2002/05) - Brasilis Serviços SA
Responsibilities included: Java EE, ASP and PHP applications design and implementation and Requirements gathering.
- Devised, designed and implemented Brasilis’s data center management system, a distributed J2EE application that enabled system administrators and customers to manage contracted services on Windows and on Linux servers via consolidated Web interface.
